EcoEnergía Co-Generation Power Plant

Bahía Blanca

It is a co-generation power plant commissioned in 2011 and located in TGS’s General Cerri Complex in Bahía Blanca.
It generates unconventional renewable electricity through the use of the residual heat from exhaust gases coming from three gas turbines located at the Fiat compression plant in the same complex.

Piedra Buena Thermal Power Plant

620 MW

Bahía Blanca

Located in the town of Ingeniero White, it consists of two 310 MW turbines that can be fed with natural gas or fuel oil.
The plant is supplied via a dock and a proprietary 22-km gas pipeline. Besides, it has fuel oil storage tanks with a total capacity of 60,000 m3 each.

Parque Pilar Thermal Power Plant

Pilar, province of Buenos Aires

Inaugurated in August 2017 and located in the Pilar Industrial Complex, it involved a US$100 million investment. It has a 3-km gas pipeline and a 132 KV underground line, also with a 3-km length.
It consists of six high-efficiency Wärtsilä engines that can reach full output in 20 minutes and be indistinctly fed with natural gas or fuel oil.

Ensenada Barragán Thermal Power Plant

Ensenada, province of Buenos Aires

In June 2019, we acquired Ensenada Barragán Thermal Power plant, located in the petrochemical complex of the City of Ensenada, Province of Buenos Aires, in partnership with YPF (50% stake each). In January 2023, we inaugurated the Combined Cycle with a US$250 million investment, transforming it into one of the most efficient plants in Argentina.
It currently has two gas turbines and one steam turbine, generating energy equivalent to the consumption of 1.5 million households.

Piquirenda Thermal Power Plant

Inaugurated in 2010, the plant is located in the small village of Piquirenda, Municipality of Aguaray, Department of General San Martín. It consists of ten natural gas-fired engines.

Ingeniero White Thermal Power Plant

It was commissioned in December 2017 in the town of Ingeniero White. It consists of six dual-fuel (natural gas or fuel oil) Wärtsilä engines.

Genelba Thermal Power Plant

Marcos Paz, province of Buenos Aires

It has two combined cycles, consisting of four gas turbines and two steam turbines. Based on data from CAMMESA, it was the country’s most reliable combined-cycle plant in 2008, 2009 and 2010, and won the 2013 National Quality Award.
It is fueled by gas from proprietary fields, transported by TGS and connected to the Power Plant through an 8-km gas pipeline.

Güemes Thermal Power Plant

Located in the City of Gral. Güemes, it consists of a 261 MW open-cycle thermal power generation plant and a 100 MW natural gas-powered turbo generator set.

Loma de la Lata Thermal Power Plant

780 MW

Neuquén

Built in 1994, it is located at Loma de la Lata, Neuquén, in one of the largest gas fields in Latin America. It consists of three 375 MW gas turbines, a 165 MW steam and two aero-derivative gas turbines, one with a 165 MW and another with a 105 MW capacity.
